Social Arrangements
If you are planning to arrive in Manchester on the evening of the 14th, before the workshop, the following entertainment and meeting places have been organised. Maps and more information about the city can be found at Virtual Manchester (www.manchester.com)
From 6.30 pm
Meet at the Mark Addey pub, on Stanley St (just of New Bailey Street, map grid
reference: C7). This pub overlooks the River Irwell with river side seating (weather
permitting) and is a popular city centre meeting place. It's 2 mins walk from Salford
Central train station and about 10 mins walk from Manchester bus station.
From 9.00 pm
A table has been reserved (in the name of Watson) at The Balti Restaurant, 63
Bridge Street, Manchester (Tel : 0161 832 9393). Bridge St. is about 2 mins walk from the
Mark Addey (map grid reference: C & D 6). If you bring a car, park at the Gartside St.
car park. This is convenient for both the pub and restaurant.
If you are planning to join us on the evening of the 14th please let us know so I can confirm numbers with the restaurant.
